We are currently in need of funds for 2 projects as follows:

OPERATION SAFE PLACE – WOMEN AND CHILDREN’S SHELTER

South Africa holds the unfortunate distinction of being one of the worst places on earth to be a woman or a child, particularly girls, when it comes to gender based violence.

This project aims to create a haven for those in desperate need of emergency shelter from domestic abuse, violence, trafficking, poverty, and abandonment.

The plan:  We have recently taken possession of a vacant building comprising of a 5-bed residential house with a 2 bed self-contained annex attached.

There is now an opportunity to convert this house into a full time women and children’s shelter serving the area of Parys, South Africa, housing up to 20 children and women for short to medium term placements.

We are seeking partners who share our commitment to making a lasting impact. A single, impactful contribution will allow us to swiftly repurpose the premises, ensuring the immediate safety of those in crisis. Please consider partnering with us for your Christmas collections.

A strategic partnership with Social Services will ensure comprehensive support. This collaboration will facilitate effective exit strategies for longer term housing solutions, counselling services, and signposting for further assistance.

Beyond immediate shelter, Operation Safe Place aims to offer short-term fostering for these children. This will provide them with Christian discipleship, skills and personal development, volunteering, leadership opportunities, attending weekly children’s church/worship sessions and empowering them with better opportunities for a brighter future.

TARGET: $20,000 by 29/2/24

OPERATION SAFE PLACE – CHILDREN AND YOUTH CAMPS

Youth camps are fundamental in creating long lasting change in a culture where children are often abused, abandoned, neglected, and generally deprived of positive support and a place to be safe, particularly in the holiday seasons, when children are not attending school.

We are already offering these camps for up to 40 youth and children at a time, but there is much more to do.  We are now building on our new premises, a 52-hectare site, in order to accommodate up to 100 youth and children along with activities such as an indoor rock climbing and inflatable center, agriculture and hydroponic training opportunities, leadership training and sporting fun.

These camps allow us to meet our objectives to engage, equip and empower children and young people to fully reach their potential and nature their relationship with God and each other.

TARGET: $2000 per month to grow and develop this ministry

Please mark all donations with either ‘shelter’ or ‘camps’ depending on which project you would like to contribute to.
