About this project:

The heart of Driven By Love is to bring the people of South Africa into an encounter with the Person of Love, Jesus. There is a primary focus on raising up a generation of young ones who not only know of Jesus, but have a personal relationship with Him. Through living out daily life with those around us, young and old, as well as through outreaches, evangelism, discipleship and other programming our mission is to impact the community for the Kingdom of God. We pray that the Kingdom impact would reach far beyond one community, but that we would see a nation changed, and living for Jesus.

South Africa is unique in many ways. It is both a first and third world nation. Though it is a first world nation, over 50% of the country lives in poverty, and approximately 18% live in extreme poverty living on less than $1.90USD per day. Education at a primary and secondary level are not held to a high standard, resulting in a country that is approximately 75% illiterate and reads at a 4th grade level. Because of this, many people struggle to find work, and work that will support them and their families.

Our vision as a ministry is to help lead people into change, giving them hope, the hope that comes through believing in Jesus. Helping them to see that they do not have to be stuck into the circumstances that they were born into, but that they have the power to participate in being the change of tomorrow for themselves and those who come after them. Some of the ways that we we will do this is through mentoring and tutoring children and encouraging them to work hard in school, to not just accept what is expected as a pass. One of our projects is to build community gardens where families can grow much of their own food, have a good source of nutrition, and with that, a healthier lifestyle. Along with this, we desire to provide food through school programs as well as doing outreach in those schools.

Our objective is to see the one in front of us, build relationship, provide aid as we can, and encourage them in their walk with Christ. We know that we cannot provide solutions for everyone, but we have faith to see God move in ways that no man can. He is our provider, He is our strength, He is our help and we trust in Him for all things. He has called us, we have said yes, will you join with us

Each dollar given in support helps. The funds will go to promote a healthier way of life for those in need in South Africa through the programs mentioned above. This will also come as the Lord leads. We are deeply grateful and thankful for all your support whether it be financially or through the power of prayer.
