About this project:
ACORN (A Community Oriented Rehabilitation Network) was established in Iraqi Kurdistan in 1993 and has been a constant presence ever since. Dealing with the changing challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. ACORN emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support communities, and a desire for actions to speak as loudly as words. We are an organization driven by community, bold action and ingenuity.
We are pleased to say that some of our projects are funded and running on their own! Other projects require start-up funding to begin or ongoing support to continue their impact.
