ACTS Burkina is a Christian organization which is endeavoring to extend the love of Christ by contributing to eliminating poverty in Burkina Faso. This is done through the implementation of development projects in rural areas of Burkina Faso. The mission of ACTS Burkina is to work to make orphans, widows, rural vulnerable and poor people seize opportunities in order to live decently from their activities. ACTS Burkina is located in saonré in the rural commune of Komsilga.

We see God working through the projects we are implementing, because we see hope restored and lives being transformed. Since march 2022, we have been distributing food to internal displaced people, and have been able to reach about 615 people who benefitted from rice and corn we have distributed. These internal displaced people were forced to leave their villages by terrorists without food, clothes and some of them have had to even abandon their cattle.

We see the lives of orphaned girls being transformed through the professional training in sewing, because they are able to live decently when they finish the training and start their own businesses. At least 50 orphaned girls attend the professional training every year, 31 orphaned girls have given their lives to Christ during the current school year.

The Ellel medical center of ACTS Burkina provides quality medical care to vulnerable people, which contributes to improving their living conditions. More than 12,000 vulnerable people come to the Ellel medical center every year for medical treatments from various diseases.

The road that leads to the Ellel medical center of ACTS Burkina was inaccessible especially during the rainy season; it was very difficult to evacuate patients that needed specialized medical care to the public hospital in the city. It was a challenge to repair the road due to the high cost. We then decided to approach the army of Burkina Faso for assistance and by the grace of God, the army agreed to help us repair the road. Now the Ellel medical center is accessible and we can easily evacuate patients.

Story of Salamata:

“I left TITAO with my mother-in-law and the baby for Ouagadougou where we have found refuge in the village of PANZANI. I do not know where my husband is right now. We have no means to communicate with him. Life is very difficult for us. We would like to find some work in order to take care of ourselves, but for now it is very difficult. We are thankful for the food we have received from ACTS Burkina because we can live on that for few days.”

Every year we organize screening sessions for breast cancer, uterus, high blood pressure and hepatitis. This gives vulnerable people an opportunity to get tested free of charge in order to better monitor their health. New people are also discovering the Ellel medical center through screening sessions and this improves the attendance.

ACTS Burkina has a good partnership with FGC, and we are satisfied with the services.

Currently, there are 1.902.150 displaced people and 2.360.000 people are facing food insecurity due to terrorist attacks in Burkina Faso. Between the weekend of June 10-11, up to today June 15, about 100 people have been massacred in one village by the terrorists leading the population to leave that village to the main city. According to the News more than 8000 people were displaced in less than a week time. They are in great need of food.
