Recently, a young man reached out to us for information about Christian colleges. When we met with him we asked how he heard about Apologetics Canada Ministries. While deconstructing his beliefs, he informed his parents he was going to leave the faith. They asked him if he would be willing to read a book published by Apologetics Canada, Thinking?: Answering Life’s Five Biggest Questions.

While reading that book, he was encouraged to learn that there are many good reasons to place your trust in Jesus. And as a result, he reconstructed his faith securely founded in Christ. That’s what the word apologetics means; it is a Greek word that means to give a reason. The apostle Peter uses this word in 1 Peter 3:15 where he encourages Christians to be able and willing to give good reasons for the hope we have in Jesus. That’s why we exist as an organization.

Apologetics Canada Ministries’ mission is to equip the Christian community with a biblically sound, intellectually robust and culturally engaged faith. We seek to do this through events, the AC podcast and resources. The Apologetics Canada (AC) Podcast seeks to provide a biblical perspective on current events and issues happening in our community, across our nation, and around the world. Our podcast listener base continues to grow and we constantly meet people who are listening and whose faith has been strengthened by what is talked about on the podcast.

We host and speak at events that provide teaching and facilitate dialogue on current issues the Christian community is facing. Our team speaks at churches, conferences, university ministries, and Christian schools on a wide range of topics to encourage faith in Jesus. We also create resources, such as the books Thinking?: Answering Life’s Five Biggest Questions and Reclaimed: How Jesus Restores Our Humanity in a Dehumanized World, that build up people’s faith and equip them to share it with others by addressing questions that culture is asking and people in our community are wrestling with. We are currently creating a new video series that will address questions about identity, a current issue for both Christians and non-Christians alike.

The new video series, BRANDED: Rethinking Identity, will seek to give good reasons for people to base their identity in Jesus rather than in our shifting culture. Apologetics Canada’s vision is to see a growing Christian community that gives good reasons for hope in Jesus.
