Children’s Camps International – From Shadows to Light

Since 2003, Children’s Camps International (CCI) has been dedicated to illuminating these shadows with the hope and love of Jesus Christ. Through their efforts, they have been able to touch the lives of children and families in developing countries, bringing a light that cannot be hidden.

Children’s Camps International collaborates with churches in Asia and South America to conduct vibrant day camps aimed at reaching children with the message of Jesus. These camps are designed to not only introduce children to the teachings of the Bible but also to demonstrate the love of God in tangible ways. They train pastors on how to conduct these camps effectively, ensuring that every child who attends receives the message of salvation. After the camps, the local churches continue the work by providing ongoing discipleship, helping children grow deep in their faith through weekly follow-up programs.

CCI’s method of operation is straightforward yet highly effective. By partnering with existing churches, they leverage the local infrastructure and cultural understanding of these communities to reach children. Each year, the lead pastors from participating churches undergo rigorous training to ensure they are equipped to run safe and impactful day camps. These camps, which invite children aged 8-15, offer a mix of Bible lessons, crafts, sports, and songs. For many of these children, it is their first encounter with the concept of a loving God, a message that stands in stark contrast to their previous religious experiences.

The impact of Children’s Camps International is both immediate and long-lasting. Since their inception, over 4 million children have attended their camps, with 357,580 children participating in 2023 alone. The program’s success is evident in the countless lives transformed—children who once knew nothing of Jesus are now church leaders, evangelists, and faithful followers. With over 5,000 churches on the waiting list to join their mission, the potential to reach millions more remains vast. Generous support is crucial in continuing this transformative work.
