COVID-19 Crisis Response

Christian Hope Community Association operates Eden Christian Centre, an educational program that serves students in Barahona, Dominican Republic. As you can imagine, the COVID-19 crisis has caused us to suspend school indefinitely. Our doors have been closed since March 18th under the direction of the Dominican government. Social distancing/quarantining measures and mandatory curfew from 5 PM to 6 AM have been set into place. Yet our hearts remain open and we continue to respond to the opportunity and calling to serve our Lord and our community in Barahona. We are still helping our students, their families, and our community the best we can during this time.

Urgent Needs

Most people are not able to work and are in desperate need of food and clean drinking water. We have provided our students and their families, our staff, and other members of the community with much needed bags of essential food items. We are also providing the community with free water one day a week; and have lowered the cost for all other days of the week.

We need your help to continue to provide COVID-19 relief to those who have no means of getting food or clean water on a daily basis. As long as we remain in quarantine, we pray this much needed COVID-19 response will continue.

Thank You For Your Prayers & Support

We are all going through this difficult time, but it doesn’t mean we forget those in need. This is the perfect time to sow and put your faith into action! You have a chance to respond, provide relief, and impact our most urgent needs.
