A Five-year-old Burmese Child Rescued From Trafficking

In Thailand and Myanmar, a hidden reality unfolds for vulnerable children, with nearly 70% not living with their parents. Among those who do, drug and alcohol abuse threaten their safety. Amidst these challenges, organizations like GNIM in Myanmar provide hope.

Recently, GNIM and their partners rescued Joy, a five-year-old girl on the brink of trafficking due to her drug-addicted stepfather. Her transformation began with a simple yet profound act—changing her name to Joy, symbolizing a new life under their care.

Joy’s story mirrors many in Myanmar, where children face uncertain futures. Thanks to GNIM and their partners, Joy now thrives in a loving, secure environment. Yet, many more children await rescue.

As we celebrate Joy’s safety, let’s remember the ongoing mission. The recent military coup adds complexity, but GNIM’s dedication remains unwavering. They invite us to join in supporting their mission, offering hope and security to vulnerable children like Joy.

Let’s pray for Joy and her peers, that they find not just safety but the joy of being loved. Your partnership can make a difference. Support and pray for GNIM to help write more stories of hope and rescue, one child at a time. Together, we can bring joy and love to these precious children.
